AuraLine™ vs StoryFrame™: Which Photo Lamp Should You Choose?

Choose AuraLine™ when you want a compact, freestanding photo lamp for a bedside table, desk or narrow shelf. Choose StoryFrame™ when you want the same photo-to-line-art concept in a larger 23 × 17 cm framed format with more visual presence.

Both lamps turn an uploaded photograph into clean line art, show you a digital Design Proof before engraving and use laser-engraved clear acrylic with a solid wood USB LED base. The choice is mainly about finished format, available space and how prominently you want the memory to appear.

AuraLine™ vs StoryFrame™ at a glance

  • AuraLine™: approximately 14.5 cm wide × 22 cm high, with a square clear acrylic panel in an oval solid wood LED base.
  • StoryFrame™: a larger 23 × 17 cm clear acrylic panel with a solid wood USB LED base and a more frame-like presentation.
  • Both: USB powered, available with 3-Color Light or RGB, created from your photo as laser-engraved line art rather than a printed image.
  • Both: include a digital Design Proof before engraving and can use optional short text on the wooden base where that option is selected.

Choose AuraLine™ for a compact display

AuraLine™ is the easier choice when surface space is limited. Its narrow freestanding format suits bedside tables, desks, shelves and smaller consoles. The square clear acrylic keeps the portrait visually light, while the oval wooden base gives the lamp a simple, minimal footprint.

Choose AuraLine™ when you want the photograph to remain personal and visible without making the lamp a dominant room feature.

Choose StoryFrame™ for more visual presence

StoryFrame™ uses a 23 × 17 cm acrylic panel, so it needs more horizontal space and reads more like illuminated framed artwork. It is a stronger fit for a wider shelf, console, dresser or sideboard where the portrait should have more presence.

The larger panel gives the composition more room, but it does not replace the need for a clear source photo. A dark, distant or blurred image cannot gain missing detail simply because the display is larger.

Do both lamps use the same photo process?

They follow the same core workflow: you upload a photo, the main subject is refined into clean line art, a digital Design Proof is sent by email and the approved artwork is laser-engraved on clear acrylic. The image is engraved rather than printed or applied as a sticker.

For both products, one or two clearly visible subjects usually give the cleanest composition. If you need help choosing the image, use How to Choose the Best Photo for AuraLine™; the same core clarity principles are useful for StoryFrame™ too.

3-Color Light or RGB?

Both products offer 3-Color Light and RGB. The personalised engraving stays the same; the selected option changes the lighting experience.

  • 3-Color Light: three fixed light colours and a simpler presentation.
  • RGB: a broader colour-changing range and more flexibility in the room atmosphere.

What should you check in the Design Proof?

Before engraving, check that the correct photo and main subject are used, important facial or pet features remain recognisable and any selected name, date or short message is spelled correctly. If a reasonable small adjustment is needed, reply before approving the final design.

Delivery, placement and everyday use

Delivered within 3–5 business days.

AuraLine™ or StoryFrame™: final decision

  • Choose AuraLine™ if compact placement, a minimal look and a smaller footprint matter most.
  • Choose StoryFrame™ if you have more display space and want the photo to feel more like a framed illuminated feature.
