Materials and Finish

The clear acrylic panel is prepared for precise laser engraving. The approved artwork is engraved directly into the acrylic rather than printed onto its surface, allowing the illuminated lines to remain clean and clearly visible.

The solid wood LED base adds warmth and contrast to the transparent acrylic. Natural wood grain and tone may vary slightly between individual bases; these natural differences are not defects.

Digital Design Proof Before Engraving

Before engraving begins, we send a digital Design Proof by email. The proof shows the proposed line art and the placement of any selected text.

Check the composition, names, dates, spelling, punctuation and message carefully. Approve the proof or reply by email with a reasonable small adjustment request. Engraving begins after the final design has been approved.

How to Choose the Right Photograph

A sharp, well-lit photograph with a clearly visible subject normally produces the cleanest line art. Subject visibility and composition matter more than decorative background details.

• Choose a photo in which the main subject is sharp and in focus.
• Use an image with balanced light and visible facial or outline details.
• A simple or uncluttered background helps keep the artwork clear.
• One or two main subjects normally create the most balanced composition.
• Large group photographs may lose small facial details during conversion.
• A clear phone photo can work well when it is not heavily cropped or compressed.

If the submitted photograph is unsuitable for a clear engraved result, we will contact you before engraving.

Choosing a Pet Photograph

Pet photographs are welcome. Choose an image in which the animal’s face, ears and main outline are clearly visible. A clear portrait, profile or recognisable pose normally provides the most useful detail for the line art.

Choosing Between 3-Color Light and RGB

3-Color Light

Choose 3-Color Light for three fixed colour settings and a softer, more understated presentation that keeps the focus on the engraved photograph.

RGB

Choose RGB when you prefer colour-changing mood lighting and greater visual variety. The engraved artwork remains the same; only the lighting experience changes.

Optional Engraved Text

Where the text option is selected, a short name, date, message or dedication can be engraved on the wooden base. Short wording normally creates the most balanced result and remains easier to read alongside the line art.

Enter all wording exactly as it should appear. Check names, dates, spelling, punctuation, capitalisation and special characters before approving the final design.

Design Proof and Approval Process

A digital Design Proof is sent by email before engraving begins. This allows you to review the line art composition and all personalised details before the permanent engraving is produced.

1. Upload your photograph and choose 3-Color Light or RGB.

2. Add short engraved text where that option is selected.

3. We transform the photograph into line art and prepare the Design Proof.

4. Review the composition, names, dates, spelling and message carefully.

5. Approve the proof or reply by email with a reasonable small adjustment request.

6. Engraving begins after the final Design Proof has been approved.

Once the approved design has been engraved, personalised details cannot be changed. The proof stage is your final opportunity to identify an incorrect detail or unwanted layout choice.
