Natural Slate Characteristics

Slate is a natural material, so small differences in colour tone, surface texture, edge shape and natural markings are normal. These variations form part of its character and mean that individual coasters may not look completely identical.

Personalise the selected set with a name, initials, meaningful date or short message. Standard text personalisation is included. Enter every detail exactly as it should be engraved, including spelling, capitalisation, punctuation and special characters.

How Is the Personalisation Applied?

Each personalised unit consists of one pair of two coasters. You can repeat the same design across the complete set or assign different text to each pair.

• Set of 4: Two pairs; enter separate text for Pair 1 and Pair 2 when required
• Set of 6: Three pairs; enter separate text for Pairs 1 to 3 when required

When the same text is selected for the complete set, one approved design is repeated across all coasters. When different text is selected for each pair, the assigned wording is engraved on both coasters within that pair.

Shorter wording normally creates the clearest and most balanced engraving. Longer text may need to be reduced in size, divided across multiple lines or rearranged to fit the available engraving area.

Optional Logo Engraving

You can add one logo to the complete selected set through the optional logo engraving add-on. The same approved logo is used across all coasters included in that set.

SVG, AI and EPS files are preferred. A clear, high-resolution PNG with a transparent background is also accepted. The engraving is produced in a single tone, so colours, shadows, gradients and extremely fine details are adapted where necessary to create a suitable single-tone engraving version.

We prepare the supplied file as a suitable single-tone engraving version and show the proposed placement in the Design Proof. Different logos, complex artwork and requirements outside the available product options must be submitted through Custom Projects & Bespoke Orders.

3. Enter the personalisation. Submit one text for a Set of 2, up to two texts for a Set of 4, up to three texts for a Set of 6 or up to four texts for a Set of 8.

4. Upload your logo when selected. Add one clear file if you have chosen the optional logo engraving service.

5. We prepare the layout. AtaNova arranges each submitted text or logo for the available square engraving area.

6. Receive the Design Proof. A digital preview is sent by email before engraving.

7. Review every detail. Check the spelling, punctuation, alignment, logo placement and text assigned to each pair.

8. Approve the design or request a small adjustment. Reply before engraving begins if a correction is needed.

The Design Proof is a digital layout preview rather than a photograph of the finished coasters. It confirms the proposed design and placement but cannot reproduce the exact texture, tone, edge shape or natural markings of each slate piece. Once the approved design has been engraved, the personalisation cannot be changed on the finished product.

Laser Engraving on Natural Slate

The approved design is engraved directly into the natural slate rather than added as an ordinary printed graphic, sticker or removable vinyl layer. The engraving creates a contrasting finish against the dark anthracite surface.

Care and Cleaning

Clean the engraved slate coasters by hand with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them thoroughly afterwards. Do not place them in the dishwasher or leave them soaking in water. Avoid abrasive materials and aggressive cleaning products.
